Testimonials
I came unsure of what to expect as far as teaching and meeting new people. But my expectations were exceeded. Everyone has been super friendly. I’ve made new connections; it’s been extremely encouraging meeting singles of all ages in different life phases. Definitely looking forward to Thrive 2025
I came back after attending once, 20 years ago. I wasn’t sure how I would feel after going through a very painful marriage. God far-out exceeded anything I imagined. I ended up with the perfect roommates who were supportive & loving. I spread my wings and made friends with all kinds of people in different situations but showing the same bond – Jesus Christ and I didn’t feel left out or judged.
The worship times were wonderful, the food was great, but the saturation in the Word and the presence of God in all areas was exactly what I needed!

Bryan Sherwood
Bryan is the director of operations for His Healing Light Ministries. Even though Cyndy wrote the Healing Journey for women, Bryan knew God’s principles were for everyone. So he began a men’s class in 2009. God used this group to bring great healing to Bryan’s heart and mind.
Many unresolved, painful events were blocking Bryan’s life, including difficult childhood memories, having his first wife walk away, leaving him to raise three kids, and later the death of his nineteen-year-old daughter. Bryan witnessed, first hand, powerful restoration in his life through the Healing Journey.
Bryan wasn’t the only one leading men’s groups. Soon men’s classes were popping up in other locations. The ministry knew men using women’s materials would not be a suitable situation, long term. So, in 2014, they produced the men’s Healing Journey, with Bryan teaching the same biblical content.
Bryan is a General Contractor and enjoys the mountains and fly fishing, whenever he can get time off.
Cyndy Sherwood
Cyndy Sherwood is the creative director of His Healing Light Ministries, developing content and materials for the ministry. She has been writing Bible studies and teaching Scripture since 1972.
Her material has emerged from her 9-year healing journey with the Lord that began in 1991. Through her own suffering and seeking the Lord through her pain, she discovered his truths that restore us to the fullness of life that he intends for all of us.
In addition to Healing Journey, she has written and filmed three other studies, Freedom Journey, Resting in Jesus, and Running with Horses. She has also written three devotional books, Healing Words, Resting Words, and Running Words, a nonfiction book, Road Map to Healing, and her story, My Healing Journey.
Cyndy and her husband, Bryan, live in Colorado Springs. They have four adult children, a daughter who has gone on to be with the Lord, and oodles of grandchildren.
