Family Life Ministries has an opening for a full-time Videographer/Photographer. Family Life, in its 67th year of ministry, has plans to build a new world-class headquarters in Corning, NY that will allow for the growth and expansion of our performing arts, events, and Hope & Healing counseling ministry departments, as well as our regional radio network which consists of nearly 70 broadcast signals in New York and Pennsylvania. Key responsibilities will include producing, shooting, directing, and editing videos for Family Life’s ministry departments. The type of videos you will create will range from event promos, story pieces, music videos, short films, live-streaming and more. The individual chosen to fill this position will have the opportunity of working with a talented team of over 60 staff members. The Videographer/ Photographer must be a follower of Jesus Christ as they will represent Family Life to the volunteers, vendors, and other staff.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate and further the vision and values of Family Life through video – includes filming, editing, color correcting, and animating motion graphics
  • Proactively film major events and annual activities within the ministry
  • Contribute creative ideas for video and other initiatives that further ministry goals
  • Capture b-roll at various events for promotional material that helps convey the ministry of Family Life
  • Setting up/tearing down professional lighting equipment for video projects
  • Multi-camera live-streaming events on or off campus
  • Ability to capture still images when required at events is a must
  • Any other task assigned by the Creative Services Director

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must maintain a positive Christian testimony through a vibrant, active, and strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Bachelors’ degree (or equivalent) in video production or similar field of study
  • Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in video production, including lighting, lensing, shot composition, direction of talent, and audio production
  • Working knowledge of current (Canon, Sony, Blackmagic, etc.) DSLR camera technologies
  • Working knowledge in multi-camera live-streaming and video switcher (Blackmagic, Roland, etc.) technologies
  • Professional work ethic
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Must have an eye for detail
  • Ability to remain humble and flexible in the creative process; willingness to sacrifice artistic ambition in consideration of content, time restraints, and maintaining clarity for all audiences
  • Ability to work in a complex, multifunctional environment with multiple projects running simultaneously
  • Ability to “switch gears” on short notice and embrace flexibility when priorities shift

SALARY

$30,000- $50,000/ year

The initial compensation for the chosen candidate is determined by various job-related elements such as education, experience, and training. The position also comes with an array of benefits such as medical coverage, a Health Savings Account, a Health Reimbursement Arrangement, a 403(b) plan with matching contributions, life insurance, disability benefits, ten paid holidays, five PTO days, and ten vacation days allowable within the first year.
